BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Riverfront Hall on the Boise State campus has been evacuated due to a report of smoke in the building.
Boise State officials say students and staff are asked to evacuate to the Quad, SUB, Interactive Learning Center or any building south of the Quad and remain indoors until further notice.
The Boise Fire Department reported that the fire was accidental due to electrical failure with BSU's flood control system. The smoke from the fire spread via underground tunnels to the library causing the smoke alarm to go off.
The state fire marshal is taking over this investigation.
